Gary Lauf

My journey began on September 2023. Coming from an operational management background in retail, I was keen to explore my passion for training and development. What drew me to Foundever South Africa was their values and culture, as they were equally aligned with my previous experiences. I found the transition to the BPO industry very exciting and inspirational. Working with like-minded, goal-oriented individuals (most of them half my age) was very rewarding, and I was able to share the valuable lessons I learned along the way, as well as learn new and exciting skills from my colleagues and leaders.

One of the values that really impacted me positively was that of embracing a growth mindset. I learned that everything I do matters, and by embracing a humble, teachable, and can-do attitude, I can achieve my goals no matter the challenges that come my way. I joined the company as an agent and was in that role for one year. During that time, I successfully completed the Talent Plus Programme and was seconded as a Learning Specialist on September 2024. On the 1st of April 2025, I was promoted to a permanent Learning Specialist.

Foundever has helped to fulfil my dream, and now I am living it. What a privilege it is to wake up every morning and love what you do! To play a part in empowering, inspiring, and motivating the leaders of the future is an awesome responsibility that consistently excites me and motivates me to show up and do my best.
