I have been working at Foundever since February of 2025. I just hit my 6 months of tenure, and so much has happened already. Here’s a summary of my experience with Foundever.
Training was the hardest part, in my opinion. Many people quit before finishing their training, and some left as soon as training was over. While I stayed, I couldn’t lie; I did look at jobs during training. I was terrified of taking calls. Finally, I crossed that finish line, and my work started. I made friends along the way, but this was new. I was surrounded by people I didn’t recognize from my training, so I closed off and focused on my calls, coming to work on time, clocking out, etc. One day, my manager approached me, saying I had had excellent numbers. I had high scores across the board, and I had no idea I was doing well.
My manager offered me a position in the SLOB department, and I said yes. I continued getting good scores, and the people from my team were nice and welcoming. With each week, I felt more and more comfortable and excited to come to work.
The client would come in every so often. My manager asked if I wanted to have the client sit with me during calls, and I always said yes. I met amazing people from the client I work for. Now every time they come and visit, I have to chitchat with the client.
One day, the project manager came over and asked if I wanted to come sit at a meeting with the client. You already know what I said. I was excited to see my friends I’ve made along the way, while providing insight into things I believe could be improved, not just for me, but ways to improve the customer’s experience.
Now, after all that, I was asked to be a SME, and guess who is a SME? I still can’t believe how much I have accomplished in 6 months. I’m not doing anything out of the ordinary. I’m just being myself while trying to do a good job, and that work has paid off. As to what I want to accomplish, that’s a different story.
I have told my manager since I joined his team. I will be moving up. I won’t stay as an agent because throughout these 6 months, I have come to enjoy work. I love the company I work for. Crazy considering throughout training, I was desperately trying to find an escape. Now my escape is to find something higher up. I’m glad to have a manager that has pushed me into the right direction. Currently, I’m applying to new jobs within the company as I’ve hit my 6-month tenure. When I get a new job offered, I think you know what I’ll say.
