Mariana Lima

I started at Foundever as an Airbnb agent when I moved from Brazil to Portugal, speaking daily with customers and understanding real problems at scale. That experience changed how I see technology — not as something abstract, but as something that directly affects people.

From there, I moved into the Continuous Improvement team Portugal, where I began building internal digital solutions and stepped into a full stack and project role.

Today, I’m a Software Engineer working with the global AI team, and I am part of Foundever.org GMI as a mentor, also mentoring other women in tech on programs like She Code Africa.

This experience brought me the recognition as WomenTech Global Mentor of the Year in 2024 and 2025 (Community Award), by WomenTech Network, as one of the Top 30 Women in Tech in Portugal honoree and active tech events speaker.

One of the most meaningful moments for me was realizing that I could move across completely different roles — and still bring value by connecting people, processes, and technology. That transition showed me that growth here is not linear — it’s built through opportunity and trust.
I’ve been influenced by people who created space for me to step into new challenges, even before I felt ready. That made a difference.

To me, #FoundeverLife is about evolution. It’s a place where you can start in one role and build a completely new path over time.

As a company, we make an impact by being close to real-world problems — and turning those into solutions that improve both customer and employee experience.

The moments I appreciate most are the small ones — a helpful comment, someone taking time to explain something, or seeing an idea turn into something people actually use.
