I originally applied for a job at Foundever because we had a long summer and I wanted to save up for the next semester. When I was accepted, I kept on thinking that I would only stay for the summer and then quit when enrollment came.

Six years later, I’m still here.

Gradually, co-workers became friends and friends became family. As a member of the LGBT community, I also felt right at home with how accepting my co-workers were. I can be my true self here without being judged. Safe and sound. Sounds like home to me.

Of course, my life at Foundever had its up and downs. Thankfully, my mentors kept their patience (yes, I can be quite a handful) and believed in me. I am now a call monitoring specialist and I wouldn’t be here without my Foundever family and all the things that they taught me.

At the end of the day, getting accepted at Foundever doesn’t just get you a job. You also get a family.
