Five years ago, I embarked on a journey that would test my strength, patience, and resilience. As a mother of two beautiful kids and a wife to an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), I knew the road ahead wouldn’t be easy. My husband and I made the tough decision for him to work abroad, knowing it was the best way to secure a better future for our family. This meant being apart from each other, with him facing the challenges of a foreign land and me holding down the fort back home.

Balancing a full-time job with the demands of motherhood was no small feat. There were days when exhaustion felt like my constant companion. Mornings began with preparing the kids for school, managing household chores, and ensuring everything was in place before I left for work. Then, it was a day filled with meetings, deadlines, and a never-ending to-do list. Yet, in the midst of it all, I found purpose and fulfillment.

There were moments when I felt overwhelmed—when the kids got sick, or when I simply missed my husband terribly. But those were also the moments that taught me about the strength I never knew I had. I learned to lean on my community, my family, and friends who stepped in to offer support and encouragement. They became my lifeline, reminding me that I wasn’t alone in this journey.

At work, I found not just a job but a second family. My colleagues and leaders have been incredibly supportive, understanding my situation, and cheering me on every step of the way. They recognized my efforts and saw my potential, pushing me to grow beyond my limits. I am proud to say that this year, I am celebrating my 5th year with this amazing company “Foundever .

This journey has been filled with challenges, but it has also been incredibly rewarding. Every obstacle we faced brought us closer as a family and stronger as individuals. My husband’s sacrifices, my children’s resilience, and the unwavering support from those around us have been the pillars that kept us standing.
