Finding Strength in My Work: A Personal Reflection

Hello, my name is Jason Scofield. I joined Foundever just over five years ago, and my journey since then has been nothing short of transformative. In my role as a Business Analyst, I have the privilege of serving our clients, with a specific focus on our USAA account and its diverse campaigns. While my title might read simply on paper, my daily work is both challenging and exhilarating—demanding critical thinking, creative troubleshooting, and a constant commitment to excellence.

If I were to choose a title of my own, I might jokingly call myself the “Captain of Crisis Management,” a lighthearted nod to the moments when I feel as though I’m leading a fire department. But when the fires are out, my true passion lies in designing, building, and deploying PowerBI reports, as well as maintaining our various reporting systems and SharePoint sites. Although my official title has evolved over time, the core responsibilities and challenges that drive me have remained a constant source of inspiration.

About a month ago, I experienced a personal tragedy that triggered a series of unexpected challenges in my home life—an ordeal for which I was not mentally or emotionally prepared. During that difficult time, I found solace and stability in my work. Each day, I follow a comforting routine: waking up with a few extra moments of rest, hitting the snooze button at least twice, and by 9:30 a.m., being ready to face the day. Despite the benefits of working from home, the structure and purpose of my daily routine have been instrumental in keeping me grounded and focused.

I share this story not only to reflect on the demanding nature of our work but also to highlight how deeply it can nurture resilience and positivity, even in the face of personal adversity. My passion for what I do continues to drive me, reaffirming every day that I am exactly where I need to be.
