My journey with Foundever started in 2011. What most people don’t know is that my husband and I were struggling, so we decided we needed to make a bold move. It was one of those moments where we felt stuck! Having family both in Tennessee and Florida, we decided to make the move to Tennessee after selling everything we owned and uprooting our family. Sometimes in life, when you feel stuck, a big change may be needed to move forward. Without going into details, it was one of the best decisions we ever made.

I spent over 25 years in many roles within the hospitality industry. I started as a hostess, and worked as a server, bartender, trainer, General Manager and Director of HR & Operations for startups and corporations. When my daughter was born, I knew I wanted to change my career path. The best advice I received early on in my career was to continually develop yourself. I have always taken roles that do not come naturally to me. I had the opportunity to work in Organizational Development and received multiple certifications with Covey, Blanchard, DDI and many more. Developing people brings me the most joy in life. Being part of something bigger than yourself and witnessing growth within your peers drives my passion.

I’m most grateful for all of the opportunities at Foundever. I started in an entry-level position, but knew right away that I would have the opportunity to grow within Foundever. I spent four years growing our HR Shared Services and most recently, in an HR System role implementing SuccessFactors.

During this time, I witnessed my husband overcome Hodgkin’s Lymphoma; and my mom, mother-in-law and dad pass away suddenly. I’m sharing my passion for my career and these personal tidbits because Foundever was there for me when I needed support the most. Foundever gives me the opportunity to grow every day; something I have truly needed over the past eight years. All great things in life are hard, and you never know what someone else is going through. I believe you must fail to succeed. The majority of the projects I get to drive for Foundever are new and exciting, and it feels great to evolve what we initially deploy. I believe this is the key to our success at Foundever. We must continue to challenge each other. We must enable the best in one another. We must continue to share our stories with others. I am honored to work with such amazing women and people. We need to tap into each other’s strengths and do great things!

Regardless of where your journey takes you, always believe in yourself and continue to develop your skills. Focus on your passions in life. If you’re feeling stuck, make a change; but, take time to reflect on your accomplishments too.

Thank you to all of the amazing women and people at Foundever!

In honor of International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the bold and powerful women of Foundever by sharing their stories – about balance, about success, about gender equality, about change, about what it feels like to be a woman today.
