I guess these challenging days request challenging options. Home office for me was only an option on Fridays, after a long week, just to do some administrative stuff in comfy clothes, with no rush. I always told my colleagues who work virtually all the time that I could never do it. I need people and noise around me; all this bustle and social interactions are like the motor that thrives me. But then suddenly things changed. And luckily, Foundever gave me the opportunity to adapt and work from home directly. But what did that mean to me in a practical way? Being home all day, together with my partner also in a home office, and a 16-year-old being bored, because of closed schools and no meeting with friends? That seemed to be the biggest challenge, I have to admit.
Surprisingly, we got along quite well, and even moved closer together in an emotional way. I can imagine this being more difficult for our employees. Not used to work from home at all, maybe having small kids around. This might be challenging but shows how flexible we are and how much Foundever supports us in adapting to the new circumstances. For all of us, these are crazy times, but I can’t stop appreciating this tremendous work our company and all the teams worldwide are doing. It makes us all more connected and moves everybody closer together- as individuals, in private, as a team and a company.
The wording “Foundever family” now gets an even more important meaning – more than ever. I am so proud to be part of this because it shows how such an unexpected situation brings all these positive fruitments. Everybody moves closer together, all are working hand in hand to make things work. As well as we are all way more aware, to engage and connect with our family, friends and colleagues, even iif t’s in a virtual way.
I know we can’t wait to get back to normal, but this current way of “normal” shows that as a team and a family, we can achieve everything!
