Eugene Juan

When I joined Foundever Baguio three years ago, I was actually at a crossroads. My father has been “requesting” me to focus on our family business as opposed to continuing my career in the corporate world. I was not ready to give it all up at that time and used my favorite-child card for him to give me more time.

My first year with Foundever Baguio was practically an adjustment period and I knew that it was going to take a bit of getting used to. I gave myself a year to gauge if my decision to move here was the right path for me. I was amazed by the caliber of managers that the company has been producing, and this inspired me to be the best version of myself. Working with peers and colleagues with such sharp business acumen and the sincere intentions of developing people made me realize that I could do more.

In my second year, I was tasked to help our Palawan team. I wanted to say no as I have already established a healthy relationship with everyone, and I didn’t want to deal with separation anxiety. And the Baguio weather! Who would want to give that up?! In the end, the mature side of me won, so I flew to Palawan. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the place and the people. Seeing how Foundever is helping the community to produce a best-in-class workforce was so invigorating. The fact that I was also working on the most beautiful island in the world was such a treat. I signed up for two more stints there.

Now I am back here in Foundever Baguio, working with the people who first welcomed me to the organization. Being promoted to Senior Operations Manager is both fulfilling and daunting at the same time, but with the support I have been getting from Foundever and my peers and colleagues, I am certain that there is nothing but continuous growth ahead. On to the next chapter!
