My name is Karen Collado and I have been working since I was 17 years old. I started as a teacher, followed by a customer service representative and sales executive. I began with Foundever after being laid off from my previous job as a sales executive. Nicaraguan people had been going through some difficult times since April of 2018.
Being part of a call center was never my first choice. I didn’t have the best opinion about the overall environment. I always thought they were unstable or unreliable, not really the kind of place you want to be part of. But then again, things can easily change. Now, Foundever was giving me the opportunity to be part of the FLIP program. And in June 2018, as we say here, my reality flipped.
I am now a FLIP graduate, part of 3rd largest account in Nicaragua. This is not only my first call center experience but also my first “English only” work environment experience. Foundever has given me the opportunity to continue working on my English skills and to develop my hidden talents. I am now a mentor for a new LOB, I have learned “how to provide feedback”, “how to connect with people”, “how to work SMART”, always working together to promote a team environment. I have changed the way I see myself in the future. I will continue working hard in this excellent environment and taking advantage of the growing opportunities without losing sight of what’s important: connecting with people to promote everyone’s success.
