2020 was the year everyone will never forget. I was at the peak of my career in the hospitality industry but when the pandemic started, it greatly affected the tourism industry and we were severely impacted. As the eldest and the breadwinner of the family, I had to look for a new job that would support us financially. Two months after the nationwide lockdown, I learned about Foundever and learned about what BPO industry is.
“When a door closes, a window opens”. This motto was my motivation when I applied here at Foundever Palawan. Despite being a newbie in this industry, I was fortunate to be one of the pioneer associates supporting a Retail campaign. Eager to learn new knowledge and skills, I worked hard and did my best which led me to my first promotion. I got promoted as a Product Specialist and became part of our Escalation Desk Team. I continued to strive for a better performance and wanted to become part of the Learning Team. When the Learning Specialist Track Trainee post opened, I pushed my luck and applied for the role. Fortunately, I passed all the assessments. Now, I am Learning Specialist Apprentice.
Foundever inspired me to excel in every way and taught me to step out of my comfort zone. At first, it was challenging as a first timer in the BPO industry and I was on the verge of quitting but with the support I received from my team and my Foundever Kabarkadas, it ignited the fire in me to keep going and pursue my passion. I know that there are many hurdles along the way but I believe that with strong determination and support from my mentors, I can make my way to the top and achieve my personal and professional goals.
